Our governance and leadership
Our Trustee board and Senate provide overall governance and strategic direction for the College. Our three National Pharmacy Boards provide advocacy, support and strategic leadership for pharmacy practice and developments within England, Scotland and Wales. The Pharmaceutical Press (PhP) Board advises the Assembly on the direction and approach of Publishing, while our Executive Team look after every aspect of our operations.

The Role Profile:
You will copyedit content, adhering to our tone of voice and house style to make the website engaging and relevant for our audience. You will insist on proper grammar, correct spelling and catch any typos. You will sharpen language, articulate complex information in a straightforward way and have exemplary proofreading skills. You will use WordPress functionality to ensure content is presented in the best possible way, striving to improve the user experience of our website.
Specific Accountabilities
Copyedit content to ensure it reads well and adheres to house style and tone of voice;
Upload content and format it correctly;
Research pictures and write captions;
Produce tables and simple graphics;
Tag content for semantic enrichment;
Ensure smooth flow of article through workflow processes;
Ensure content meets accessibility standards;
Ensure the best possible presentation of content.

Knowledge & Skills for this job:
Writing and copyediting skills;
Proofreading;
An understanding of the healthcare sector and pharmacy;
Time management;
Excellent communication skills;
Knowledge of publishing processes;
Bachelor’s degree qualification;
Working knowledge of web publishing tools including Wordpress, CSS and HTML;
Working knowledge of Adobe software;
Knowledge of data visualisation tools preferred.
